This first preschool book was a New York Times Best Seller. The Pout – Pout Fish is so much fun to read to my kids!
I love to have full on facial expressions, pitch changes in my voice, etc. The kids LOVE this book. My daughter basically knows it by heart and she’s only 2 years old!
If you like repetition and cartoonish artwork, I highly recommend having this book in your home.

2. Preschool Book #2
The next preschool book is Chicka Chicka Boom Boom. My son was actually gifted this book when he turned 2 in 2020 by my brother-in-law.
At first, we got a little tongue twisted as we read the book through, but quickly realized it was much easier to read if you turn it into a song!
Now, this is one of my son’s favorite books that he keeps by his side. And no joke, I literally catch myself humming the tune to this book at random times throughout the day haha.

3. Preschool Book #3
This preschool book is one of the classic preschool books that your child should have.
The Very Hungry Caterpillar is such a simple book but it teaches our kids counting, different fruits, colors, days of the week, the life cycle of a caterpillar, etc.
My two year old somehow found a video on Youtube that sort of reads the book in video form, but IMO the book is 100% better and you can’t go wrong with it.
If you already have this book in your household, please buy it for your friends who don’t, they will thank you later.

Oh the wonderful memories of this preschool book during story time in the library.
Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Do You See? is full of rhyme and repetition which is perfect for preschoolers!
We had a lot of story time in elementary but I can assure you that this book was and still is my favorite to this day. It’s even more special to have your child share the same favorite book with you!

This last preschool book is a great bed time story if I may say so myself.
If You Give A Mouse A Cookie does such an amazing job of demonstrating the domino effect and how it influences the decisions you make next!
I know, sounds like it would be for adults but no, it’s a really fun and exciting book for kids.
I definitely recommend reading this one at night though, it’ll influence both your minds to relax and wind down for the evening… or reach for a glass of milk at 10pm haha whatever floats your boat!
